2026 and newer Genesis Electrified GV70 models come equipped with charging ports that follow the North American Charging Standard (NACS). NACS-equipped models can plug directly into Level 3 DC Tesla Superchargers and other NACS-type chargers. Level 2 AC charging and Level 3 DC charging require different adapters which are included. Please check the rear cargo area if you are unable to locate.

What Will Be Needed to Charge

To charge a 2026 Electrified GV70 at home, drivers will need to ensure they have the following:

1. An accessible NACS EV charger setup at home.
2. A Genesis CCS-to-NACS adapter (if using a CCS-type home charger).

How to Charge Your Genesis EV at Home

1. Ensure your vehicle is parked in a safe area with the gear selector in Park.
2. Open the charging door by pressing and holding the button on the left side of the dashboard or on the keyfob.
3. Plug the charger nozzle into the vehicle’s NACS charging port.
4. Wait for the confirmation message and the infotainment screen to indicate that charging has begun.
5. Once fully charged, press unlock on the keyfob to release the charger and then unplug the charging nozzle.

CCS Ports & Adapters

Electrified GV70 owners who have had a previous EV may have a home charger that does not follow the NACS charging standard. If your home is equipped with a CCS-type charger, you’ll need to use an approved Genesis CCS-to-NACS adapter. Contact Genesis Customer Support or a local Genesis retailer for more information.

1. If using a CCS-to-NACS adapter, attach the adapter to the charger handle first.
2. Press down until you hear a click, ensuring a secure connection.
3. Insert the charger and adapter combination into your vehicle’s charging port.
4. Listen for the confirmation sound and check the infotainment screen.
5. Once fully charged, press unlock on the keyfob to release the charger combination and then unplug the charging nozzle and adapter together.
6. Remove the adapter and then store the adapter in a safe place.
