Using three programmable buttons right in your rearview mirror, HomeLink allows your Genesis to replace up to three separate remote transmitters. This can include devices such as garage door openers and security gates. 

How to Program HomeLink for the First Time: 

1. Press the start/stop button to turn your Genesis to either the ‘on’ or ‘accessory’ positions. 

1. Press one of the HomeLink buttons on the underside of your rearview mirror. 

• The indicator light on your rearview mirror will flash orange. 

1. Hold the remote you’d like to mirror 1–3 inches from the rearview mirror. 

• Press and hold the remote button. 

1. Keep holding until the rearview mirror indicator changes from orange to green. 

1. Test the HomeLink button. 

• If the light turns solid green and your door opens/closes, HomeLink has been successfully programmed to mirror the original remote. 

Programming a Rolling Code Garage Door 

Some modern garage door openers use rolling code technology that generates a unique signal each time they are triggered. If your door doesn’t respond after completing the above instructions, please follow the below steps: 

1. Locate the ‘Learn’, ‘Smart’, ‘Set’, or ‘Program’ button on your garage door opener, usually a red or marked button on the underside of your opener. A ladder may be required to reach up to the garage door opener. 

1. Press the ‘Learn’, ‘Smart’, ‘Set’, or ‘Program’ button. 

1. Within 30 seconds, return to your Genesis and press and hold your desired HomeLink button for 2 seconds. 

1. You may need to press and release up to three times. 

1. Once your door responds, programming is complete. 

Reprogramming or Erasing Buttons 

• To change a button: 
  Press and hold the button until it flashes orange, then reprogram the remote with the new code. 

• To erase all buttons: 
  Press and hold buttons 1 (left-most) and 3 (right-most) together until the indicator flashes green rapidly. Now all stored programming is cleared.
