Skip the keys—access your Genesis G70 with biometric and digital key tech.

The 2026 Genesis GV70 and Genesis Electrified GV70 provide the option of going fully keyless with the use of the Fingerprint Authentication system and Digital Key 2.

Part of the Genesis Intelligent Assistant mobile app, Digital Key 2 uses your smartphone to unlock the doors while Fingerprint Authentication system uses a built-in fingerprint reader to recognize the driver’s fingerprint and allow vehicle starting.

To use the Fingerprint Authentication system and Digital Key 2, you will need an active Genesis Connected Services account and the Genesis Intelligent Assistant mobile app on your phone.

To Setup Digital Key 2:

1.      Visit the Apple iOS or Google Play app stores to either download the Genesis Intelligent Assistant (GIA) mobile app, or to ensure that it has the latest update.

2.      Turn on your Genesis. Press the Setup button. On your infotainment screen, select Vehicle, Digital Key, Smartphone Key, My Smartphone Key, and then Save.

3.      Log into the GIA app, select “Utilities” at the bottom and then “Set Up Digital Key.”

4.      Follow the on-screen instructions.

To Setup Fingerprint Authentication

The Genesis Fingerprint Authentication System lets you quickly and easily unlock a guest’s vehicle, access personal settings, and exit Valet Mode. This system allows storage of up to two fingerprints per user profile.

  1. Ensure both Smart Keyfobs are inside the vehicle and the vehicle is turned on.
  2. Press the Setup button, and then select User Profile, select the user, and then select Fingerprint Identification.
  3. Enter or set your password to start the process.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to place different finger areas on the sensor for a proper scan.
  5. Once saved, you’ll see a confirmation message and the process will be complete.

To access your vehicle without any keyfobs after setup, approach the vehicle with your Digital Key 2-registered smartphone. If your phone does not support ultrawide or Bluetooth low energy, you may need to hold the phone up to the door handle. Once the doors are unlocked, place the phone on the wireless charging pad and then place your finger on the fingerprint reader in the center console. Now you are free to turn on the vehicle as normal.
