Genesis models come equipped with a host of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) designed to provide confidence, awareness, and peace of mind on every journey.
From Forward Collision Avoidance Assist to Highway Driving Assist, Genesis combines cutting-edge technology with intuitive design to keep you and your passengers safe.
Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA)
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist helps detect vehicles and pedestrians ahead. If a potential collision is detected, the system warns the driver and, if necessary, can automatically apply emergency braking support.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist includes several advanced sub-functions for specific driving scenarios:
- Junction Turning: Helps prevent collisions with oncoming vehicles when turning left at intersections.
- Junction Crossing: Detects cross traffic from the left or right and applies braking if needed.
- Direct Oncoming: Reduces impact speed when a vehicle approaches head-on.
- Lane-Change Oncoming: Helps avoid collisions with oncoming traffic when changing lanes.
- Lane-Change Side: Assists when changing lanes near slower vehicles in the next lane.
- Evasive Steering Assist: Provides steering support to avoid collisions with vehicles, pedestrians, or cyclists.
Customization Tip:
Adjust your ADAS alerts by pressing the Setup button and then select Vehicle, Driver Assistance, and then Warning Methods. You can fine-tune warning alert volume, steering wheel haptic feedback, and more.
Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2)
Highway Driving Assist 2 helps maintain a set cruising speed, keeps a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, and helps keep your Genesis centered within its lane.
When activated, HDA2 will do the following:
- Automatically sets the cruise speed to your current driving speed.
- Engages Lane Following Assist and Lane Keeping Assist for added stability.
Highway Lane Change Assist
If equipped, Highway Lane Change Assist allows your vehicle to automatically change lanes when conditions are safe by holding down the turn signal stalk.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
Lane Keeping Assist helps prevent unintended lane departure by detecting lane markers, providing gentle steering corrections, and alerts if departing the lane.
System Activation: Works when traveling at 40 mph or higher with visible lane markers.
Turn On/Off: Press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button on the lower left side of the steering wheel.
LKA also provides haptic steering feedback and visual alerts when the system detects lane departure without using the turn signal.
Lane Following Assist (LFA)
Lane Following Assist helps keep your Genesis centered in its lane by detecting lane markers and providing gentle steering assistance.
System Activation: Works when traveling at 40 mph or higher with visible lane markers.
Turn On/Off: Press the Lane Driving Assist button on the lower left side of the steering wheel.
Blindspot View Monitor (BVM)
Blindspot View Monitor provides a gauge cluster video camera view of your vehicle’s blindspot areas when using a turn signal. BVM is useful when changing lanes or pulling out from a curb.
